Ahead of the formal submission of its hybrid planning application to Leeds City Council, the Otley East Consortium is delighted to introduce you to its early plans for ‘Otley East’ – an exciting new mixed-use scheme, complete with a new relief road, on land to the East of Otley.
The majority of the Otley East site was allocated as a major mixed-use site within the Leeds Unitary Development Plan (UDP) Review 2006 (Policies H3-3A.30 and E4 (20)), saved, and carried forward in the recently adopted Leeds Site Allocations Plan (reference MX1-26) for housing, employment, a new two-form entry primary school and greenspace/open space. The balance of the site was allocated for a major road scheme (Policy T20(3)), Greenspace (site ref G1089), and as protected playing pitches (policy N6).
Your views are important to us
With the COVID-19 pandemic limiting face to face interaction, all public consultation for the scheme has now moved online/ will take place via postal correspondence with the consultation team. To make sure that your views are considered, we ask that all feedback forms are submitted electronically via the feedback form on the ‘next steps’ page on this website/ returned to the postal address listed on the bottom of the feedback form on or before 5pm 29 January 2021.
Please note that this consultation website is entirely separate to the statutory consultation process that Leeds City Council will undertake once the planning application has been formally submitted. This digital public consultation process will not preclude you from making future comments on the planning application to Leeds City Council, should you wish to do so.
The Otley East Consortium (The Applicant) represents multiple landowners / companies with an option to develop this site. Those responsible for bringing the hybrid planning application forward are listed below.
Those landowners/ companies with an option to deliver the later phases of the project (such as Miller Homes and the Ogden Group of Companies etc.), will be named as part of relevant future planning applications and will remain collectively known as the Otley East Consortium.
The planning application and supporting environmental impact statement for the Otley East project is being brought forward by the above project team.
